Open Mic Nepal

Open Mic Project captured rumours and perceptions on the ground to eliminate information gaps between media, humanitarian agencies and local people. By providing local media and outreach workers with facts, Open Mic aimed to create a better understanding of the needs of the earthquake-affected communities and to debunk rumours before they could do more harm.

Open Mic Nepal was presented by Accountability Lab, Local Interventions Group and Internews.

Community Survey Reports

Community Survey Reports analysed the data collected from people in the 14 districts most severely hit by the earthquakes in April and May 2015. Respondents were asked to score each of the questions on a 1 to 5 scale. The data was presented as a Ground Truth score based on a weighted average of responses to each question. Negative scores indicated a tendency to disagree with the statement. The distribution of responses across the 5-point scale was also given. Please view the required report below for more details.
