Community-Based Monitoring as an Early Warning System in Nepal
Accountability Lab Nepal’s CCC campaign has been reviewed and featured as a promising model of community-based early warning systems in response to COVID-19, while highlighting the importance of community-based early warning systems and monitoring to track and prevent the potential of a second disaster during disaster response.
The Lab’s approach was featured by a journal article in the Natural Hazards Review in the article “Community-Based Monitoring as an Early Warning System: Detecting and Countering Risks in Government-Driven COVID-19 Responses” by Dr Nimesh Dhungana and Flora Cornish.
