CIVACTS: EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES AND FIGHTING COVID-19

Executed under the CivActs Campaign by AL Pakistan, the ‘Strengthening Community Resilience to COVID-19’ program aimed to debunk misinformation and circulate verified information. This initiative, spanning two provinces (Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), disseminated 56 weekly bulletins in regional languages, engaged eight bloggers and YouTubers for stories of resilience, and conducted a weekly radio campaign. Offline advocacy efforts included distributing 1500 pamphlets, 600 brochures, 600 posters, and ten standees. With a reach of 12 million and 339 trained Community Frontline Associates (CFAs), CivActs played a pivotal role in countering misinformation during the pandemic.
