CIVACTS: TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES FOR
ACCOUNTABILITY AND CHANGE

AL South Africa’s CivActs program is part of a joint initiative  – Action for Accountability (A4A) – between the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation and the Public Service Accountability Monitor. A4A joins forces with communities in Gauteng Province (Finetown, Mondeor, and Lenasia) and the Eastern Cape (Makhanda) to address numerous service delivery challenges, including water cuts, dilapidated infrastructure, and healthcare gaps. Achievements include opening the Finetown clinic, infrastructure repairs in Lenasia, and a groundbreaking water testing project in Makhanda. These achievements and others reaffirm CivActs’ commitment to accountability, transparency,  citizen empowerment, and lasting governance improvements.
